Spotify Integration
Connect Spotify to link songs, auto-match your catalogue, create playlists from setlists, and practice with playback.
The Spotify integration lets your band connect Spotify to Setlistly for linking songs to Spotify tracks, auto-matching your entire catalogue, creating playlists from setlists, and practicing with embedded playback.
Connecting your Spotify account
- 1.Go to your Account page
- 2.Scroll to the Spotify Account card and click Connect Spotify
- 3.You'll be redirected to Spotify to authorize the app
- 4.After authorizing, you're redirected back to Setlistly
- 5.A dialog will appear asking if you'd like to Auto-Match Songs — this searches Spotify for every unlinked song in your library and links the best match automatically. You can also skip this and link songs manually later
- 6.To disconnect, click Disconnect on the same card
Each band member connects their own Spotify account independently. The connection is used when that member creates a playlist.
Linking songs to Spotify
- 1.Open any song's detail page and scroll to the Spotify section
- 2.Type a search query (the song title is pre-filled)
- 3.Browse results showing track name, artist, and album art
- 4.Click a result to link it — the song now shows an embedded Spotify player
- 5.Optionally click Pull Metadata to auto-fill the song's key and tempo from Spotify's audio analysis
- 6.To unlink, click the Unlink button
Auto-matching songs
If you have a large library and want to link everything at once:
- 1.Connect Spotify from the Account page
- 2.When the auto-match dialog appears, click Auto-Match Songs
- 3.The system searches Spotify for each unlinked song using its title and artist name
- 4.You'll see a results summary showing which songs matched and which didn't
- 5.Songs that weren't matched (originals, obscure tracks) can be linked manually later
Adding a Spotify playlist to your show page
- 1.Go to any show's detail page
- 2.Create a Spotify playlist in your own Spotify account that matches your planned set
- 3.Click Add Playlist in the Spotify playlist section below show details
- 4.Paste your Spotify playlist link and save
- 5.Your Spotify playlist is now linked to your show for your entire band to reference
Rehearsal Mode playback
When practicing in Rehearsal Mode, any song that has a linked Spotify track shows a compact embedded Spotify player below the song details. This lets you listen to the track while reviewing lyrics, chords, and notes.
Spotify Artist Profile Link
- 1.Go to the Account page
- 2.Find Spotify Artists Link
- 3.Paste Your Band URL From Spotify
- 4.View Band Growth Metrics on Your Analytics Dashboard (If on Pro Plan)
Availability
The Spotify integration is available on all plans (Free and Pro). No upgrade required.
